Special Poojas Commence at Sri Sutturu Math in Mysuru During Navaratri Festival

Mysuru, October 19, 2020: In celebration of the Navaratri festival, which commenced on October 17, 2020, special poojas have begun at the Sri Sutturu Math branch located at the foothills of Chamundi in Mysuru. As part of the nine-day festival, Navadurga idols were installed, and various rituals including abhisheka and Mahamangalarathi are being performed. Each evening, the divine story of Goddess Chamundi is recited.

On the auspicious day of Vijayadashami, a special pooja will be conducted for the sacred Banni tree (Shami tree). The dedicated staff of Sri Math actively participates in all the poojas and rituals, guided by the divine presence of Paramapujya Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji.

To ensure the safety and well-being of devotees and the public amid the COVID-19 pandemic, entry to the Sri Sutturu Math premises has been restricted as a precautionary measure.
