JSSATE, Bengaluru, was established in 1997. The Campus is located on a sprawling 21.17 acres land surrounded by lush green plantation on the South-Western edge of Bangalore City. The institution is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, India.
At present JSSATE, Bangalore has seven Under Graduate and four Post Graduate program in Engineering along with a post Graduate program in Business Administration. All the Departments have been recognized as “research Centres” from VTU, Belagavi. More than 120 candidates are pursuing research programs at JSSATE, Bangalore. The total strength of students is more than 2850.
JSSATE, Bangalore has an excellent infrastructure with the state-of-the-art equipment and machinery as laboratory facilities. The Institution has spacious classrooms, sophisticated laboratories, a well-stocked library and a Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Park (STEP). The whole building is networked and has centralized browsing facility with 120 Mbps dedicated internet facility.
The Institute has highly qualified faculty. The Institute has initiated a number of multidisciplinary and multi-institutional R&D programs with AICTE, DST and other Departments. The Institute has a centralized library with open access facility for students. The Institute Digital library has online access to International journals. Book bank facility is available for students.
Together with the Karnataka Government’s ASIDE project, Dassault Systems, France, and with the cooperation of the Jewellery Manufacturers’ Association, an ‘Advanced Jewellery Design Technology Centre’ has been set up in the college in 2004. JSS Advanced Jewellery Design Technology Centre situated at JSS ATE Campus. The institute is first of its kind in the entire southern India imparting training in Jewellery Designing and Manufacturing to the Goldsmiths, Artisans and trading community in gems and jewellery sector. Using the latest computer software like CATIA and JEWELCAD, modern jewellery designs are being developed. A Rapid Prototype Machine that makes models of new designs is also installed at this centre.
