About JSS sanskit School, Suttur
Sanskrit is the oldest and a documented member of the Indo-European family of languages. Its closest ancient relatives are the Iranian languages, old Persian and Avestan. It is the root language of many prakrit languages Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Konkani, Nepali, etc., Attempts are being made by traditional institutions to revive sanskrit. In order to strengthen the knowledge of this oldest language among the students, JSS Mahavidyapeetha has established 9 Sanskrit schools in various places of Mysore and Chamarajanagara District.
