Our college provides opportunity and encouragement to students to participate in cultural activities with enthusiasm. Students take part with a lot of dedication to exhibit their talent in competitions held at the taluk , district and state level. They also participate in the Jathra celebrations held at Suttur. They have won many awards and have brought laurels to the college.

Computer Lab: The computer lab provides access to high quality, technologically advanced systems. It provides state of the art computing facilities to help the students realize their personal and career goals to stay competitive in the workforce for the future. We provide computing facilitie to attract and retain qualified students and assist them in meeting their educational objectives.
The department arranges short term courses for students to make them computer literates. At times, both the teaching and the non–teaching staff are also trained in computers to match the current technologically advanced job requirements. At present, the department has a well-equipped lab with 30 systems with internet facility. The lab is open from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm with the necessary staff to assist the lab users. Internet facility is provided during this period. The department has a qualified teacher and programmer.
Library: Our Reading room has daily Newspapers, Magazines and Journals. Students make use of it while preparing for competitive exams to update their knowledge and reading skills.
Science Lab: Our college has a good Science laboratory used by the students and lecturers. The apparatus is given to each student separately for conducting the experiments. Our science lecturers provide guidance and instruction to the students to do the experiments and to get some practical knowledge. The lab has sufficient instruments.
Physics Lab: Our physics lab is well-equipped and is useful for the students and the Lecturers. The apparatus is given to each student separately to experiment. This develops an interest in the subject and also increases the experimental skill and techniques. The laboratory can accommodate nearly 30 students. All the experiments according to the syllabus is set up in the laboratory. The environment of the laboratory is such that it makes the students and lecturers spend more time doing experiments.
Chemistry lab: Laboratory is well equipped with all the necessary equipment, and apparatus is available for the use of students individually in practical class. More than 30 students can do practicals at the same time. Our lab contains all the required chemicals, reagents to help the students acquire quality practical knowledge to pursue academic endeavours. Practical knowledge helps the students to realize their personal and career goals to get jobs in pharmaceuticals industries in various chemical laboratories.
Biology Lab: Biology lab is well-equipped. It has a collection of preserved plants, animal specimens for the study and reference. Specimens are preserved in glass jars. The laboratory has a number of bio-visual charts, models, compound microscopes, dissecting microscopes, permanent slides, different types of apparatus and other basic lab instruments. Our lab has good ventilation and sufficient light. We give guidance and instructions for the students to do various experiments to get practical knowledge. Students also use these instruments and models during classroom teaching. The lab has sufficient instruments for conducting experiments.
Class rooms: Our prestigious college has spacious, well-equipped and well-ventilated classrooms to accommodate more than 100 students.
Sports room: Sports room is well-equipped with many sports materials for the students to practice and participate in competitions.
Indoor: Indoor games like carom boards, chess, table tennis, etc., are available.
Out door: Outdoor games like Volleyball, Ball badminton, Shuttlecock, Throw ball, etc., with good coaching facility are provided for the students.
Play Ground: Our college has a spacious playground for the students play sports.

About JSS PU College, Nanjangud
Nanjangud is situated in the district of Mysore, Karnataka, and is very famous for its temple Nanjundeswara. It is about 20 km from Mysore. which is also known as Dakshina Kashi. More than 70% of the population are farmers and the remaining are involved in small scale and large scale industries.
Seeing the need to educate the rural children of Nanjangud, the Pontiff of Suttur Mutt decided to set up an educational institution in the year 1968. JSS PU college, Nanjangud has Arts, Commerce and Science streams. It is a reputed institution and is consistently achieving excellence in the field of PU Education.
On the academic front, the college has a very congenial atmosphere. The modern method of teaching supported with teaching aids and equipment is followed. Talented students are conferred with scholarships and cash awards instituted by the Government and also JSS Mahavidyapeetha.
