About JSS PU College, JP Nagara
JSS PU college, JP Nagara was established way back in 1984 with the intention of giving opportunity for higher education to all the sections of society. At the begining, the college was established in JSS high school campus, Saraswathipuram with arts-HEPS combination in 1984. Later the college was shifted to JSS public school campus in JP Nagara, Mysore. In 2003 commerce (EBAC) and science(PCMB) were introduced.

Facilities at JSS PU College, JP Nagara
The college has adequate infrastructure with well-furnished , well-maintained classrooms. The institution houses well-equipped science laboratories. The physics, chemistry and biology labs are equipped with latest experiments and specimen. Also, a computer lab with latest systems is available. The library is well-stocked with nearly 5000 books. They belong to various disciplines along with academic book. There is a vast playground where many sports activities are carried out. Sports materials like Volley Ball, Badminton, Shuttle Badminton, Chess, etc., are provided by the college.
Cultural Activities
The College has a student union with cultural and sports forum. Talents day is organized to provide opportunity to budding talents and to encourage co-curricular activities. Students take part in various competitions. Our College students have bagged prizes in Sutturu cultural competitions. we also organize an inter-college Bhavageethe and debate competitions and winners are conferred with a rolling shield. Our college has bagged the rolling shield in the year 2006. National festivals are celebrated with due fervor and patriotism.
Sports Activities
There is a good encouragement for sports activities. Also our students have won many prizes, in the district level Kho-Kho for boys and two of our students were selected for state level. Boys Ball Badminton team has won a prize in Sutturu sports competition.
