About JSS Composite PU College Doddakadanur, Holenarasipur Taluk, Hassan District
Doddakadanur is located at a distance of 12km from Holenarasipur and 37km from Hassan. Doddakadanur had remained an educationally backward village for several decades even after independence. After completing SSLC, girls here used to stop studying because of non-availability of a pre-university college. Observing this, His Holiness Jagadguru Dr Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji started a PU College in Doddakadanur. The college proved to be a boon to the aspiring pre-university students of the region, especially girls.
JSS Pre-university College, Doddakadanur was started in 1985. It is situated beside the State Highway, which runs between Mysuru and Hassan. The college has been set-up on a sprawling 2-acre campus with a spacious building and necessary infrastructure. It has a highly qualified and dedicated team of faculty.
Academics
Course offered: PUC Arts Section, Combination – HEGP
Beginning of academic year: First week of May.
End of academic year: Last week of March.
Medium of instruction: Kannada.
Admission
One of the faculty members will be nominated as a convener of the committee. The responsibility of the convener is to coordinate between the Principal, staff and the parents. The Principal oversees the admission process. Students are admitted as per the norms of Government of Karnataka.
