Science Laboratory:

The Institute has a well-equipped science laboratory with sufficient equipment for the trainees to carry out experiments individually or in groups.

Educational Psychology Laboratory:

The institute has an educational psychology laboratory to help the trainees study and gain practical knowledge about the applications of areas like intelligence, creativity, attitude, interest, and others in teaching-learning process and students maintain a practical record of the same.

Educational Technology Laboratory:

There is a well designed educational technology lab which helps the trainees understand innovative teaching and learning methodologies by using technology. The lab has a TV, DVD Player, Educational CD’s, OHP slide projector, Tape recorder with Audio Cassettes on elementary teaching.

Computer Laboratory:

A good computer laboratory has been set up to impart quality computer education to the trainees and to update their computer skills. The lab has a sufficient number of PCs and a well-experienced Computer Instructor.

Activities

Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular Activiies at the Institute

The Students’ Cultural Union organizes a number of activities throughout the year. These activities take care of involvement and participation of all the students.

National festivals and days of national importance are celebrated and special lectures are arranged by eminent resource persons to mark these occasions.

Students regularly partake in youth festivals organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports.

Citizenship Training Camps are organized as per the direction of the University of VSKU, Bellary.

JSS Institute of Education, Huvinahadagali, Bellary – Inception

JSS Institute of Education, Huvinahadagali, Bellary is a reputable college providing quality education. Huvinahadagali is known as the land of jasmine flowers. Former Deputy Chief Minister Late M.P. Prakash was instrumental in establishing the institution here.

In the beginning, the College was functioning from a small room in the Balabhavana building. Later, a new building was constructed on a 22 acre plot at a distance of 5 km from Hadagali on Holagundi road. The new campus has separate hostels for boys and girls.

The college periodically organizes several programmes, camps, and activities to enrich the knowledge of the students. The institution has formed several clubs, and committees to foster and showcase the talent of students.
