About Us
The JSS Kannada Medium School, Srirampura, was established in 1992-93. Most students studying here are from rural background. The school has more than 120 students.
The school provides good facilities. Seminars and lectures are regularly organized. The Students’ Union organizes many co-curricular activities such as mock parliament, educational tour, etc. Many associations such as Arts Club, Science Club, Language Club and Scouts and Guides wing have been formed to encourage students participation. Facilities such as a well-stocked library, well-equipped laboratory, etc. are provided. Special classes are conducted for the academically weak students and group studies are encouraged to enhance their knowledge.
Two headmasters have served the school since its inception. Sri Shivappa, who was appointed as the first headmaster rendered yeoman’s service to the school’s progress. Sri K. S. Suresh is the incumbent headmaster and the school is making a steady progress under his proficient leadership.

Cultural Activites :
All kinds of cultural activities are conducted throughout the year. The last period on every friday is marked for cultural activities. Our students participate in the cultural programmes and competitions held at inter-school level. They also participate in Parthiba Karanji competitions organized by the Department of Public Instructions and in the competitions held at Suttur Sri Kshetra as part of the annual Jathra celebrations.
National festival celebration :
We celebrate all national festivals in our school premises to develop the spirit of patriotism among our students. National festivals and important days, which are celebrated at the school are;

Science – Exhibition :
The school organizes a science and arts exhibition every year. Students make practical models under the guidance of teachers. Students of neighboring schools are invited to the exhibition.
