Admission is given to the students of class 8th, 9th and 10th as per the norms laid by the Govt. of Karnataka. Academic year commences from the last week of May. Lessons are taught in both English and Kannada languages.
Arts and sports are given par importance with studies. Our students actively take part in events like dance, drama, music, writing, debate, and others organized as a part of National festival and Suttur Annual festival. They also take part in inter-school competition and Pratibha Karanji organized every year by the Govt. of Karnataka.
We encourage our students to attend examinations conducted by governmental and non-governmental organization like Hindi Prachar Sabha etc.

JSS Higher Primary school at Mylasandra was established in the year 1993 with a view to enlighten the rural students. The method of learning that we adopted at our institution helps for the overall growth of the students and makes the process of learning easy and interesting. The school has a well-designed building, state-of the art science laboratory, latest computer lab, a well-stacked library, and other basic facilities. We provide a strong foundation for the students to grow socially, spiritually and morally.
