About Us

Our school was established in 1953 at Rampura village, Chamarajanagar district. The school was under the administration of the educational department of Neelagiri (once belonged to Madras Province) till 1973. In May 1973, JSS Mahavidyapeeta took over the administration of the school. In the beginning, the school was run in a rented house with only a few educators. After some years, the school was shifted to a new and sophisticated building.

The school had only 1st to 4th standard in its first academic year, gradually with each passing year, the standards increased and now it is running up to 7th standard. The school has a nursery, primary and higher primary sections where the students are taught in both English and Kannada.

The school, which was built amid lush green countryside, has all the basic facilities. The classrooms are well-furnished with proper seating arrangements. It has a spacious playground with necessary sporting materials for the students. The school possesses a computer lab with the latest systems and a well-stocked library with more than 500 books related to academics and literature.

Currently, around 600 students are pursuing value-based education in our school, and we can delightfully say that we have produced many medical professionals, artists, government, and other professionals.
