Initially, the JSS High School at Gundlupet was a part of JSS High School (Balajagath), Mysuru. It was bifurcated and recognized by the State Education Department as a separate school in 1986. Gundlupet taluk was surrounded by underdeveloped villages, where most of the people are daily wage workers. Recognizing the need for imparting quality and affordable education to the children here, His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji shifted this school to Gundlupet. Over the years, the school has developed and has been giving high percentage results in the SSLC examinations. Many of our former students are serving in the best positions in society.
