Admissions and Academics

Admission is offered to 8^th, 9^th, and 10^th classes as per the guidelines of the Government.
The syllabus proposed by Karnataka State Government is followed.
Medium of instruction is Kannada.
The academic year starts in the last week of May.

Extra-curricular activities go hand in hand with academics. Arts, music, dance, drama, and other creative activities are encouraged. Indoor and Outdoor games are encouraged. Students participate in inter-school, intra-school, Pratibha Karanji, and District level sports meet and competitions conducted as a part of Suttur Jathra Mahotsav.

About Us

Baragi is a village located in the west of Chamarajanagara district. In the year 1992, JSS Mahavidyapeetha established a high school in the region with a view to educating and empowering the masses of this region. The school is in the lap of pristine nature which is surrounded by hills. A conducive environment is created, and children are exposed to a wide spectrum of knowledge. Children are trained to be responsible individuals by instilling discipline, social skills, and moral and ethical values.

Our school has the infrastructure that supports the cognitive growth of the children. The infrastructure of the school includes ventilated and spacious classrooms, a well-equipped laboratory, a library with more than 1000 books, a modern computer lab and other basic amenities. Apart from these our school also provides free books to the students and free bicycles(only to 8^th standard students) as per the Government scheme.

Since its inception, more than 1500 students have pursued education at the school and the school has a good reputation in the region.
