The school stands amid a peaceful and lush green environment. The infrastructure of the school possesses spacious and well-ventilated classrooms, a fine library with a collection of 3000 books, a science laboratory with modern equipment, a computer lab, sporting materials and other basic amenities.
Along with quality education, the school gives equal importance to extra-curricular activities. Students are encouraged to take part in cultural programmes, games, sports, and other activities. The last hour of every Friday is devoted to cultural activities.
Opportunities are given to students to exhibit their knowledge and talent on various platforms. Students participate in events such as science exhibitions organized during the Jayanthi Mahotsav celebrations of His Holiness Dr Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji. They also take part in inter-school competitions, Pratibha Karanji competitions and in Suttur Jatra Mahotsav.

About Us
The JSS High School in Arakalavadi village was established in the year 1982. Initially, the school began functioning at Arakalavadi Math and acquired a new building in 1996. The school started receiving grant-in-aid from the government in 1987.
We believe in the comprehensive development of students by inculcating in them social, spiritual, and ethical values and principles. We provide all the facilities required for the academic and cultural growth of the students. Since its inception, more than 2,000 students from the surrounding areas have pursued high school education.
Many alumni of this school are presently working as teachers, engineers, advocates, and government employees. A few of them are serving in reputed companies abroad. The school has the distinction of achieving 100% results in 2008, 2012 and 2014 in SSLC exams.
