Class Rooms: The school has newly constructed nine well-ventilated classrooms. All classrooms are well furnished and have necessary teaching aids.
Library: Well-stocked library with more than 1000 books.
Computer Lab: The computer lab is well-equipped with internet facilities.
Play Ground: The school has a vast playground spread across 4.2 acres area including building.
Sports Materials: There is a good stock of sports equipment for games like volleyball, cricket, throwball, carrom, football, handball, dumbbells, lezim, etc.
Laboratory: The school has a well-equipped laboratory to provide practical training to the students in science and mathematics.
Various cultural activities are organized to develop an all-round personality of the students. These activities include Eco-club activities, child right awareness and talent encouragement.
Our students regularly take part in talent contents such as Prathibha Karanji, debates, essay writing, etc., and have won many awards.
National festivals and birthday of iconic personalities are celebrated (including our Swamji Jayanthi).
The annual school day is organized every year and sports and cultural activities are held. Winners are conferred with prizes on the occasion.

About Us
Sri Venkatachalapathishetty (Annaiah) of Malur had established an orphanage in Malur in 1956. Under the aegis of this orphanage Sri Shetty started a High School in the year 1984. This school was named GAYATHRI HIGH SCHOOL, in memory of the visit of the Queen of Mysuru Gayathri Devi (the elder daughter of Sri Jayachamarajendra wodeyer). The school came under the government grant in the year 1989. Sri Shetty came to know about JSS MVP and met HH Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji and entrusted the responsibility of running the institution to JSS MAHAVIDYAPEETHA. The school today bears the name JSS GAYATHRI HIGH SCHOOL. It runs classes from 8th standard to 10th standard in both Kannada and English medium and has more than 400 students.
