The  College for Women, Mysore, was established in 1970. It is located in a serene atmosphere of Saraswathipuram in Mysore. The College has excellent infrastructure to facilitate quality higher education in the field of Science, Humanities and Commerce. The building houses  well-equipped, spacious, well-ventilated classrooms, laboratories, multimedia facilities and a well-stocked library. It is an autonomous college under the University of Mysore.

The college believes that their responsibility is not merely to complete the syllabi and equip the students for the examination but also to guide them and help them in getting good jobs. Keeping this in mind the Career Guidance and Placement Cell was started. The Cell organizes workshops, Seminars, and Group Discussions on relevant topics to prepare the final-year students for interviews.
