Kollegal, March 13, 2019: “In our country lakhs of students come out of college with a degree every year. But only those who have skills will have a good future,” opined Sri Imanuel, Skill Trainer, Mysuru.
He participated as the resource person at the “Skills and Employment Opportunities”, a workshop organized by the Commerce Club of the JSS Women’s College, Kollegal, under the auspices of the Employment and Information Center, Mysore University.
“Students should develop a habit of taking up competitive exams and participate in competitive programmes from now itself. When preparation is based on hard work you will definitely get success. You should also develop a positive mind of attitude along with hard work. You should make your initial failures as the steps of success,” he said, and explained the students about the importance of skills and learning.
Prof. Umesh, Principal of the College in his address said, “success is not anybody’s property. Any person who has a firm aim and work with commitment can achieve success. Initially you might fail, but you should not lose heart and keep trying till you achieve. Develop an attitude of achieving success by developing a positive mind. In countries like Japan and China students are provided skill based education and training according to their interests. Hence, those countries are ahead of us in terms of development. You should also try to understand that not only exams, but qualitative thinking and planning leads your life towards a better tomorrow.”
Prof. Mamatha, HOD, Business Management Department, Prof. R. Sowmya and others were present on the dais.
