NCC Achievers Honored in Felicitation Ceremony

Mysuru, February 29, 2020: A felicitation program was organized at JSS College of Arts, Commerce, and Science, Ooty Road, Mysuru, to honor the NCC cadets who participated in the Taalsainik camp. The event aimed to recognize and appreciate the achievements of these dedicated students.

Lt. Col. Roshan B. Appanna, Administrative Officer of NCC, 14th Karnataka Battalion, Mysuru, inaugurated the ceremony and emphasized the significance of combining educational accomplishments with NCC activities. He expressed, “The experiences and certificates gained through NCC participation will greatly contribute to your future education and professional life.”

Prof. B.V. Sambashivaiah, Chief Executive of the College, presided over the program and encouraged the cadets to work diligently and consider the welfare of society as their own. He acknowledged the proud tradition of the college, with two or three students participating in Republic Day and national-level camps annually since 2010. He commended the contributions of these achievers, stating that their impact on the college was truly memorable. Prof. Sambashivaiah also shared his personal experiences as an NCC officer.

During the ceremony, NCC cadets Sri M. Shashank and Sri C. Vikramnayak, who recently participated in the Republic Day and Taalsainik camps, were felicitated for their outstanding achievements. They also had the opportunity to share their experiences with the audience.

The program included a warm welcome by cadet Kum. D.M. Yukti, an invocation by cadet Kum. Chandrakala, and a vote of thanks delivered by cadet Kum. Yashasvini. The event was attended by Prof. M. Mahadevappa, Principal of the college, Lt. Dr. L. Vinaykumar, NCC Officer, and Major Sri Govindappa, Subedar of the 14th Karnataka Battalion, Mysuru.
