Mysuru, August 23, 2019: A team from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) visited JSS College of Arts, Commerce, and Science, Mysuru on August 22, 2019, for the purpose of evaluating various facilities and services offered by the college. The evaluation encompassed multiple aspects, including the curriculum outline, teaching and learning methodologies, research and extension works, infrastructure and learning resources, student privileges, leadership and administration, as well as institutional values and good practices.
Led by Prof. Shibprasad Adhikari, former Vice-Chancellor of Bhubaneshwar, Orissa State, the NAAC team consisted of Prof. Shravan K. Sharma, English Professor from Haridwar, Uttarakhand, and Prof. K. Ramamurthy, Principal from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Upon their arrival, they were warmly received by Prof. B.V. Sambashivaiah, Chief Executive of the College, Prof. M. Mahadevappa, Principal, and Prof. D.S. Sadashivamurthy. The team was welcomed with garlands, symbolizing the college’s appreciation for their visit.
During their visit, the NAAC team meticulously inspected all the departments within the college premises. They engaged in interactive sessions with department heads, students, senior students, parents, professors, and non-teaching staff. Furthermore, they assessed the skill center, community college scheme division, library, hostel, canteen, SSS, NCC, laboratory, employment information center, counseling center, anti-sexual harassment cell, student anti-harassment cell, linguistics laboratory, sports field, multi-purpose gym, office, examination hall, and other facilities.
In the evening, the students of JSS College showcased their talents through a cultural program, which garnered appreciation from the NAAC team.
The NAAC evaluation visit serves as an important step towards assessing the college’s performance and ensuring its commitment to quality education and overall development.
