Mysuru, December 27, 2017: Mysuru, the city which has gained first place in ‘Most Clean City’ survey held at the National level twice, is in the race to retain its ranking in 2018 too. The Mysore City Corporation is implementing several programmes to maintain the ranking.

The ‘Most Clean City’ survey will begin from January 4, 2018. The cooperation and response of public play a vital role in the survey. People have to download the ‘Swachatha App’ within December 31, 2018, and vote.

All the schools and colleges of JSS Mahavidyapeetha and Mysore City Corporation and Universities have already expressed their willingness to support the campaign. A meeting was held in this regard at the Rajendra Bhavan today. Dr Nagaraj, MCC Health Officer, shared the details about ‘Sarvekshana-2018’. MCC Commissioner Jagadish showed how to download the ‘Swachtha App’. “All you have to do is take pictures of garbage in any street or any other place across Mysuru city and What’s App the picture to MCC. The Corporation will clear the garbage within 12 hours and send the picture of the place of the garbage removed to the sender. In case if you are not satisfied with the cleaning work you can complain,” he said.

Sharing his earlier experiences, JSS Executive Secretary Dr C.G. Betsurmath provided the details of the role of citizens and responses of people. He also rquested all the Heads of JSS Educational Institutions, teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students to download the app and participate in the voting process that begins from January 4, 2018. He also suggested the students inform their parents, siblings at home and even friends, relatives and neighbours about the app and voting.

JSS MVP Secretary S.P. Manjunath downloaded the app and registered his vote. He requested all the staff and members of JSS MVP to join hands with MCC, by beginning the process of app downloading and registering votes. “JSS MVP has always been encouraging such society developmental works and promised to extend any help.

Heads of the JSS University, all the JSS colleges and schools were present. MCC Health Officer Dr Nagaraju gave a vote of thanks.
