Suttur School NCC Land Army accorded ‘Best Institution Award’ for third time

Suttur, February 10, 2018: The NCC Land Army of the JSS High School, Suttur, has earned the ‘Best Institution Award (Civil) 2018’ for the third time.

The NCC Land Army of JSS High School, Suttur, was established in the year 2004 and till date about 100 cadets have been trained. Many cadets of the school have taken part in several competitions like parades, singing, dance, sports, shooting, etc., organised by NCC and have won prizes. Several cadets have also participated in the Taal Sainik, Republic Day Parade, trekking, basic leadership camps and have won appreciations and have brought laurels to the school.

The NCC, Karnataka and Goa States have been organizing programmes every year to identify such NCC cadets who have brought laurels to the institution and the State as well and felicitate them. This year the programme was held at the Mount Carmel College in Bengaluru, on February 4, 2018. JSS High School, Suttur, NCC Officer Smt. C.P. Nirmala received the ‘Best Institution Award’ on behalf of the School NCC Land Army, from the Dy. Director of General, Brigadier D.M. Poorvik. The administrative officers, coordinators and Heads of various departments have congratulated the students for their achivement.
