Students should be guided to opt for the right course – Sri Umesh
Kollegal, July 25, 2018: “The student fraternity has diversified talent. Efforts should be made to identify their talent and guide them properly to select the course which suits them. Right decision at the appropriate time will make the entire life meaningful,” opined Sri Umesh, Chartered Accountant, Mysuru.
He delivered a lecture on “Online and App – Basic Necessity”, held at the JSS Women’s College, Kollegal, organised by the Commerce Club, managed by the Department of Commerce and Management.
“Today we are depending on online and apps for all our needs. Multimedia, which is growing at a great speed, is offering the highest number of job opportunities presently. Today more than capability we need skill, because creativity and skill are in demand in the world. Apart from traditional courses, there are many vocational courses that provide you with better opportunities. Students should focus more on their skills,” he said.
The principal of the College Prof. Umesh presided over the programme. In his address, he said, “Today technology is growing, and it has become inevitable for us to keep up with the pace. Everybody cannot become doctors, engineers or chartered accountants. Achieving success has become easy today if we have skill, creativity and know the current trend. In technology, advantage and disadvantages are two faces of the same coin. We can have a bright future if we utilise technology, which is being reflected as inevitable in the present world,” he added.
Smt. S. Mamatha, HoD, Business Management Department and Sri Suresh, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce were present. Smt. S. Mamatha gave a vote of thanks.
