Students’ conceptions should always be positive
Suttur, July 8, 2071: “Conceptions of students should always be like the flame in a lamp,” opined Columnist and cultural thinker Dr. Arathi Balasubramaniam.
She participated in a programme held at the JSS Residential School in Suttur to welcome the newly enrolled students. In her address she said that students should always think like a flame in a lamp. “Even if you turn a lamp to any direction the flame will always be facing upwards. Accordingly, you may face lot of ups and downs in your lives. But all your conceptions should always be positive. Indian culture is such that everybody loves it. We should inculcate our personality in such a way that everyone should love us,” she added.
Personality Development trainer Smt. Vidyanagaraj distributed prizes to meritorious students on this occasion. Speaking to the students she observed that if they want to retain and remember whatever they learn they should inculcate habit of writing. She added that writing is a very good way to learn.
In the introductory speech School Coordinator Sri G. L. Tripurantaka explained the objectives and vision of the residential school.
JSS High School Headmaster Sri G. Shivamallu called upon the students to maintain cleanliness and protect it. He also advised them not to waste food, use water judiciously and prevent using plastic materials as it is not environment friendly.
Additional Coordinator Sri Sampath presided over the programme. He advised the students to become good citizens and shape their future in a good way.
Students Vivek C, Nisha, Prasad, Asha and others shared their views on this occasion. They also presented a skit about the school.
Assistant coordinators Sri Veerabhadraiah, DEd College Principal N. Nataraju, Headmasters Smt. C. P. Nirmala, Sri B. M. Siddappa, Sri G. M. Shadakshari and others were present.
Earlier the programme commenced with an invocation by the school students. Sri Mahesh D. M. compered.
