Students should have an aim and ‘guru’ to reach their goal – M. Mariswamy

Suttur, July 7, 2018: “Students should have a clear aim of achievement in their lives. Likewise, there should be a ‘guru’ for them to reach their aim,” opined Sri M. Mariswamy, Retd. Principal.

He addressed the students after inaugurating the Student Association at the JSS Residential School in Suttur. “Students should develop values like discipline, diligence and restraint. Students associations will make the bonding between the students and teachers more strong,” he added.

Smt. Brundala Mallappa, COO, Ionidea Inc., USA, presided over the programme. In her address to the students, she said, “The formation of the student association at the school-level will help the students to experience the system of democracy. We can see the decentralisation of power in the system even during ancient times. Goddesses Saraswati and Lakshmi are considered as the Ministers of knowledge and money respectively. Indra is the Chief Minister for all gods. Galore of opportunities has opened up at the Suttur School.”

Sri G.L. Tripurantaka, Coordinator, Heads of various departments of the JSS Institution Sri Sampath, Sri Veerabhadraiah, CRP Sri Mahesh, Sri G. Shivamallu, Smt. C.P. Nirmala, Sri B.M. Siddappa, Sri G.M. Shadakshari and others were present.

Earlier the programme commenced with an invocation by the school students. Kum. Annapurna welcomed, Kum. Kusuma gave a vote of thanks and Kum. Supreeta compered.
