Significance of Hindi in National Integration more – Dr. H. M. Kumaraswamy
Mysuru, Sept. 14, 2017: “In our country usage of Hindi language is prevalent from Kashmir to Kanyakumari like many cultures. The Hindi language has the strength to integrate our culture,” opined Dr H. M. Kumaraswamy, Retired Principal.
He participated in a lecture programme organised by the Department of Hindi, JSS College of Arts, Science and Commerce, B-N Road, Mysuru. “The essence of any language lies in its literary contribution and acceptance. Hindi has adopted several words from many languages of the world. Likewise, it also has influenced many languages. Role of Hindi language in national integration is significant. Hindi has the strength of binding the people of India together.”
Prof. B.V. Sambashivaiah, College CEO presided over the function. “Hindi is one among the 7,000 languages of the world. It is the largest speaking language in six states of India and plays an important role in communication and sharing of ideas. By learning more languages, our knowledge also increases. Hence, you should also learn Hindi along with your mother tongue. The Government of India is providing a lot of encouragement to undertake language research,” he added.
Kum. Vandana made an invocation and Kum. Arya compered. Sri Ankur gave a vote of thanks. Principal Prof. M. Mahadevappa, Smt. Siddagangamma, HoD – Hindi and others were present.
