Role of a teacher is behind the success of a person – Dr. K. Mruthyunjaya
Suttur, September 9, 2017: “The role of a teacher is very important for the success of a person,” opined Dr. K. Mruthyunjaya, Professor, JSS Medical University, Mysuru.
He participated as a chief guest at a programme held at the JSS Educational Institution, in Suttur, Nanjangud Taluk, on September 05, 2017. “In ancient India, a teacher was called as a guru and was respected by everybody. A teacher had culture, tradition and forgiving character. Role and blessings of parents and a teacher are very important for the success of any person. The role of a teacher is more important. A teacher can transform the mind of a child and of course the importance of parents is also important. But only a teacher has the strength of shaping an entire generation,” he said.
Sri Nataraju, Principal, JSS D.Ed College presided over the programme. In his address he explained the significance of Teachers’ Day. “The teachers’ day is observed to appreciate their contribution for the society and the noble profession that they are doing,” he added.
Sri D. S. Nagarajappa, Painting Teacher, JSS High School, was presented with the taluk-level ‘Excellent Teacher’ award, on this occasion. Students Prasad, Manikya Jyothi and trainee Jnaneshwari shared their views about their teacher.
Sri Mahadevaprasad, Incharge, Basaveshwara Student Hostel, administered the ‘Swachh Bharath Abhiyan’ to the guests, staff and students.
Heads of various divisions of JSS Institution, Sri G. L. Tripurantaka, Sri Sampath, Sri Veerabhadraiah, Dr. M. C. Nataraju, Sri G. Shivamallu, Smt. C. P. Nirmala and Sri G. M. Shadakshari were present on this occasion.
The programme commenced with an invocation by the school students. Hostel warden Sri D. M. Mahesh welcomed the guests. Kum. Pavitra gave a vote of thanks and Sri Shivakumar compered.
