‘Pursue your dreams to achieve’ – Dr. R. Ramanan


Mysuru, January 12, 2018: The 10th Graduates’ Day programme of the JSS Arts, Commerce and Science College, was held with the blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, in the college premises in B.N. Road, Mysuru.

Dr R. Ramanan, Director, Atal Innovation Mission, Additional Secretary, NITI Aayog, Govt. of India, New Delhi, delivered the Graduation Day address. He explained to the students about the importance of setting a goal to achieve. “Dreams will lead you to success. Our former President Dr Abdul Kalam could make remarkable achievement because he pursued his dreams. Hence, dream and put it into action to achieve,” he added.

Dr C. G. Betsurmath, the Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha administered the Oath to the graduates.

A total of 751 Graduates and Postgraduates were present in the programme. Out of them 33 postgraduates and 21 graduate toppers received mementoes and cash prizes.

College Chief Executive Prof. B. V. Sambashivaiah welcomed the dignitaries and the audience. Principal Prof. M. Mahadevappa proposed a vote of thanks.

Earlier the programme commenced with an invocation by Ms Lasya, final year MSc Biochemistry student. Prof. T D Subbanna, Director, College Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Sri Matta Mallikarjuna, Director–II, General Development Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Controller of Examinations, teaching staff, non-teaching staff of the College and graduates along with their parents were present.
