About JSS Pre-University College, Martalli, Chamarajanagara
Martalli is a small village in the district of Chamarajanagara, Karnataka, and is near the famous Male Mahadeshwara hills. More than 80% of the people living here are farmers, and the remaining population are engaged in petty trading. JSS PU College, Martalli, was established in the year 1997. It was started with a motive to encourage rural children of Martalli and surrounding villages to pursue higher education. The college is running under a self-financing scheme. It is one of the two colleges in Martalli village.
The atmosphere of the college is amiable. Academic progress is guided by a dedicated team of six well-qualified and well-experienced lecturers. A modern method of teaching with the latest teaching aids and equipment are followed. Scholarships and Cash awards instituted by the Government and JSS Mahavidyapeeta are awarded to eligible students.
- Admission is offered to classes 1st PUC and 2nd PUC as per the guidelines of the Government.
- Streams Offered: Commerce- Economics, Computer Science, Business Studies, and Accountancy.
Arts: History, Economics, Geography and Political Science.
- Languages: English and Kannada
Co-curricular activities are an integral part of the curriculum. Arts and sports are encouraged. Students participate in inter-school and intra-school competitions and have brought accolades.
