JSS Higher Primary school emerge overall champions

Suttur, December 1, 2017: The Paramapujya Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji Memorial JSS Inter-School Sports meet was held in Suttur from November 23 to November 25, 2017. Students of the JSS Higher Primary School, Suttur, participated in various events and secured an overall score of 51 and 43 points in boys and girls categories respectively. The school also stood first in the parade that was held during the inauguration of the sports meet.

Details of the winners of various events are as follows:

Boys (Running):

  1. Jenmanjai Mahato (100 m) – First place;
  2. Jenmanjai Mahato (200 m) – First place;
  3. Adithya M. S. (100 m) – Third place
  4. Adithya M. S. (600 m) – First place
  5. Ashok Prabhugowda (600 m) – Second place

Boys (Shot Put):

  1. Huligappa Ch. Dalwai (Shot Put) – First place
  2. Ishanth Rao (Shot Put) – Second place

Boys (Long Jump):

  1. Jenmanjai Mahato (Long jump) – First place
  2. Shivananda (Long jump) – Second place.

Boys (High Jump):

  1. Shivananda (High jump) – First place
  2. Ishanth Rao (High Jump) Third place

By securing first place in 100 m, 200 m and long jump, Jenmanjai Mahato emerged as the Individual Champion.

Girls (Running)

  1. Akshata (100 m running) – First place
  2. Rajeshwari (100 m) – Third place
  3. Rajeshwari (200 & 600 m) – First place

Girls (Shot Put):

  1. Anithadevi – Third place

Girls (Long Jump):

  1. Akshatha – First place

Girls (High jump)

  1. Akshatha – First place

In girls category by securing first place in 100 m running, long jump and high jump, Akshatha emerged as the individual champion.
