Charity is noble, charity of education is nobler – Baba Ramdev

Suttur, December 25, 2017: “While Charity is noble, the charity of education is nobler,” opined internationally renowned yoga guru Baba Ramdev.
Baba Ramdev was in Suttur to take part in the first ever three-day Patanjali South Indian States Committee Members yoga camp organised by the Sutturu Veerasimhasana Samsthanamath. Incidentally, his birthday was on December 25. A programme was held in Suttur to celebrate his birthday.

In his blessings on the occasion, he lauded the contribution of the Suttur Srimath for the development of education in Karnataka. “More than four thousand students are getting a free education at the JSS School in Suttur, and more than one lakh students across the state who are studying in JSS group of institutions are getting a cultured education,” he said and appreciated the efforts of JSS MVP. He gave his blessings and distributed prizes to the students of the school who performed ‘Mallakambh’, on this occasion. Observing that everyone should try to join hands with the JSS Institutions in its noble cause, he expressed his happiness for the Patanjali group for organising the yoga camp for the members of South Indian States Patanjali Committees.

Earlier, Baba Ramdev was taken to the JSS School from the Adijagadguru Sri Shivarthreeshwara Shrine, in a procession led by several folk performance teams.

In his blessings, Paramapujya Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Deshikendra Mahaswamiji observed that it is the happiest day in the three-day training camp for the participants. “The occasion has become more special as it is the birthday of former Prime Minister Sri Atal Behari Vajpayee also, the person behind the Kargil Victory Day. Baba Ramdev observes his birthday on Ramanavami Day as he accepted ‘sanyasa’ on that day. Today is his prior sanyasa birthday. Let him observe his birthday on Ramanavami, but you can celebrate on both days,” he said.

“We should be proud of our country as it has given the most ancient civilisation to the world, than Greece. We should focus more on taking forward our rich traditions in our lifetime. Baba Ramdev is pioneering such a tradition, and we should be grateful to him. By offering the Maharshi Patanjali’s yoga sutra, he has contributed a lot to the country. Patanjali was known only to the experts till twenty years ago. But today Baba Ramdev through his Patanjali group has introduced Maharshi Patanjali to every house across the country,” he added.
Bidar MP Bhagawanth Khooba, Fabricon Manjunath, Jayadeep Arya, Sister Sumanji, Rakeshji, State In-charge Sri Bhawarlal Arya and others were present on the dais.

More than 1200 office-bearers of Patanjali groups from various states like Maharashtra, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, including Karnataka took part in the yoga camp. Along with thousands of students of JSS Free Residential School also took part in the early morning yoga camp, all the three days.
