Mysuru, Feb. 19, 2021: Dr. V.N. Balaji, Founder of Jubilant Biosys Limited in Bengaluru, emphasized the significance of education as a life-long process that enables personal growth and excellence, even in the face of challenges. He shared these inspiring thoughts during his address at the 13th Graduates’ Day program held at the JSS College of Arts, Commerce, and Science, Ooty Road, Mysuru.
During the event, Dr. Balaji commended the commendable efforts of Suttur Math in providing affordable education to all, applauding their commitment to accessibility and inclusivity. He also praised the dedication of JSS College in equipping students with the necessary skills for employability, recognizing the institution’s role in shaping future leaders.
Encouraging the new graduates, Dr. Balaji urged them not to be disheartened by failures but to persevere and move forward, emphasizing the importance of resilience and determination in achieving success.
Drawing attention to India’s position as the third global leader in education, after China and the USA, Dr. Balaji stressed the importance of collaboration within educational institutions to foster self-improvement. He highlighted the presence of regional agencies that support innovative ideas and encouraged the graduates to actively engage with them to drive positive change.
The Graduates’ Day program witnessed the conferral of certificates upon a total of 970 students, including 497 undergraduates and 473 postgraduates. Notably, 62 top-performing students were honored with endowments and certificates for their exceptional achievements.
Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, administered the oath for the graduates, instilling in them a sense of responsibility and dedication to their chosen paths. Prof. BV Sambashivaiah, Chief Executive of the college, extended a warm welcome to all attendees, while Dr. HC Honnappa, the Principal, expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks. The program was skillfully compered by Dr. R. Suhas, and Dr. B. Prabhuswamy, Controller of Examinations, graced the occasion. An invocation was rendered by Ms. Sannidi, a second-year B.Sc. student, adding a touch of solemnity to the proceedings.
