Contribution of Maths towards the Development of Society is Immense – Sri Kota Srinivasa Poojari

Suttur, February 8, 2020: Sri Kota Srinivasa Poojari, Minister of Muzrai, Fisheries, Ports and Inland Water Transport, emphasized the significant role of maths (religious institutions) in fostering societal progress. Speaking at the religious meet held at the Suttur Srinaadu Math in Mudukuthore, organized by the Jagadguru Sri Veerasimhasana Mahasamsthana Math, Suttur Srikshetra, Sri Kota Srinivasa Poojari highlighted the efforts of Suttur Srimath and other maths across the state in contributing immensely to society’s development.

Recognizing education as the key to societal advancement, Sri Kota Srinivasa Poojari commended the maths for their dedicated efforts in providing quality education to all. He acknowledged their contribution in alleviating the burden on the government and affirmed that both the government and the maths share the objective of ensuring the benefits of schemes and programs reach every individual.

Paramapujya Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, in his blessings, expressed the splendor of Mudukuthore, a place blessed with abundant natural resources. He emphasized the significance of self-introspection, shedding ego, and fostering kindness to attain salvation. The annual religious meet held by Suttur Math during the jatra mahotsav in Mudukuthore was highlighted as an occasion for people to participate without worldly thoughts, focusing on inner reflection and positive thinking.

Presiding over the program, Sri M. Ashwinkumar, MLA, acknowledged the adherence to the principles of Sharana at Suttur Srimath, which garners immense devotion, respect, and support from the people. He emphasized the inclusivity of the maths’ works, which are appreciated by people of all castes and religions.

Chief guest Dr. N.C. Venkataraju, Assistant Commissioner, Mysuru, emphasized that the religious meet serves as a platform for people to contribute to the overall development of society, extending beyond spiritualism and religious leaders. He urged collective efforts to establish Mudukuthore as a prominent religious, sacred, and cultural tourist destination.

Sri B.R. Veerabhadraiah, Superintendent Engineer, Public Works Department, Mysuru, expressed his belief that self-welfare is achievable by striving for the welfare of all human beings, a principle embraced by the pontiffs of Suttur Srimath.

Smt. Priyadarshini Iswhar Sanikoppa, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Karnataka Lokayukta, Mysuru, highlighted the importance of finding peace through charitable acts and spending on good works, encouraging introspection and support for the helpless and impoverished.

Ni.Pra.Swa Sri Marula Siddaswamiji of the Sri Shettaramath, Athani Taluk, Belagavi District, emphasized the importance of dedicating work and resources to the welfare of society.
