‘Quiz competition on ‘Lives and Messages of Visionaries’ held at the JSS High School in Suttur

Suttur, Mar. 31, 2021: The Akhila Bharatha Sharana Sahitya Parishath, Mysore Chapter, in association with the Kadali Mahila Vedike, had jointly organized a quiz competition at the JSS High School in Suttur, on the topic, “Lives and Messages of Visionaries.”

Sri G.L. Tripuranthaka, Coordinating Officer inaugurated the competition by lighting the lamp. Speaking on the occasion he said, “Such competitions are important for the school students to understand the values of visionaries, to be adopted by the students in their lives. The principles of visionaries will influence the students and help in building a good society.”

In his address, Sri D.S. Sadashivamurthy, Professor (Retd.) expressed his view that the life and thoughts of visionaries are essential for students’ lives. “If students inculcate a habit of reading vachanas and try to understand the tenets of the visionaries, and adopt them in their lives, they will become good citizens,” he added.

Donors of the Pujya Sri Jademahanta Swamiji Endowment and Pujya Sri Dr. Immadi Shivabasava Swamiji and Smt. Sudha Mruthyunjayappa, Vice-President, Kadali Mahila Vedike, sponsored the quiz competition and distributed prizes to the winners.

About six teams of the school took part in the quiz competition. While 9th standard students D.M. Rakshita and Shuba secured first place in the quiz competition, Yashwanth and H.M. Puneeth secured second, and Praveen and Siddanagowda secured third place. The remaining three teams secured consolation prizes that included cash prizes and certificates.

Smt. Sharada Shivalingaswamy, President, Kadali Mahila Vedike presided over the program. Members of the Akhila Bharatha Sharana Sahitya Parishath and Kadali Mahila Vedike were present on the occasion, along with Headmasters Sri G. Shivamallu and Smt. C.P. Nirnamala, teachers and students of the school.

Earlier the program commenced with an invocation by the students of the school. While Sri M. Rajashekar welcomed all, Smt. Suma Prakash compered and Smt. Geetha Ishwar gave a vote of thanks.

ಸುತ್ತೂರು, ಮಾರ್ಚ್-21: ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದುಜಡಹಾಗೂ ಜೀವಿಯೂಒಂದು ದಿನ ಮರೆಯಾಗುತ್ತವೆ, ಆದರೆಜೀವಸತ್ವಮತ್ತುದೈವತ್ವಚಿರಾಯು. ಈ ತತ್ವವನ್ನು ಪಕೃತಿಯಅನುಭೂತಿಯಿಂದ ಚಿಂತಿಸಿದಾಗದೈವತ್ವ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯಎಂದು ವಿಜಯಪುರದಜ್ಞಾನಯೋಗಾಶ್ರಮದಪೂಜ್ಯಶ್ರೀ ಸಿದ್ಧೇಶ್ವರ ಮಹಾಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳು ಸುತ್ತೂರು ಶ್ರೀಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರ್ಚ್21ರಂದು ಪ್ರವಚನ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಂiÀiಲ್ಲಿಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ವಸ್ತುಗಳು ಇವೆ,ಆದರೆ ಅವುಗಳು ಸದಾಕಾಲಇರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ಷಣಗ್ಯಾಲಕ್ಸಿಯಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದುಅಣುವಿನಲ್ಲಿಚಲನೆಯನ್ನುಕಾಣುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಇದುವೇಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ. ಇಲ್ಲಿರುವಯಾವುದೇ ವಸ್ತುವನ್ನು ಮನುಷ್ಯ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ.ಭೂಮಿ, ಸೂರ್ಯ, ಚಂದ್ರ, ವಿಶ್ವಸಮೇತಒಂದು ದಿನ ಕಣ್ಮರೆಯಾಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಈ ವಿಶ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಎಷ್ಟೆ ಬುದ್ದಿವಂತ, ಶಕ್ತಿವಂತ ಮತ್ತು ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಕೊನೆಗೊಂದು ದಿನ ಅದುವಿಶ್ವÀದೊಂದಿಗೆಕಣ್ಮರೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಕಾರಣ ನಾವೂಸಹ ಅದರಒಂದು ಭಾಗ. ಇದನ್ನು ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಲುಯಾರಿಂದಲೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ, ಇದುವೇ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ನಿಯಮ, ಇದುವೇಜಗತ್ತಿನ ನಿಜವಾದ ಸತ್ಯ.ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿ ವಸ್ತುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಏನೊ ಒಂದು ಶಕ್ತಿ ಇರುವಂತೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಲ್ಲಿಯೂಇದೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ಪದಗಳಿಂದ ಅಥವಾ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ವರ್ಣಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ರವಿ ಕಾಣದ್ದನ್ನು ಕವಿ ಕಂಡಎನ್ನುವಂತೆಜಿಜ್ಞಾಸುಯಾದವನು ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದೈವದಅನುಭೂತಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿಅದ್ಭುತಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ.ದೈವತ್ವಎನ್ನುವುದು ಮಹಾಸಾಗರದಂತೆ, ಮೀನುಗಳು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಜೀವಿಗಳು, ಸಾಗರಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಮೀನುಗಳ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಸಾಗರ ಮೀನುಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವುದೂಇಲ್ಲ, ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುವುದೂಇಲ್ಲ. ದೈವತ್ವಎನ್ನುವ ಮಹಾಸಾಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರುಚಿಕ್ಕ ಮೀನುಗಳಂತೆ. ಮನುಷ್ಯತನ್ನ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ದೈವತ್ವಎನ್ನುವ ಮಹಾಸಾಗರದಲ್ಲಿಇರಲೇಬೇಕು, ಇದು ಸತ್ಯ.ದೈವತ್ವವನ್ನುಅರಿತಾಗಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಆನಂದಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ.ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಗಿಂತದೊಡ್ಡದು ಬೇರೆಇಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತುಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಸಮಾನವಾದದ್ದು ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯೇ ಸಮ.ಇದೆ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯದೈವಿಕತತ್ವ.ನಾವು ವಾಸಿಸುವಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯನ್ನುದೈವತ್ವದಅನುಭೂತಿಯಿಂದಅನುಭವಿಸಿದಾಗ ಜೀವನ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ, ಶಾಂತ, ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂತೋಷವಾರುತ್ತದೆ.ಈ ಮಹಾನ್‍ದೈವಿಕ ವಾಸ್ತವದಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವುದೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾತ್ಕಾರಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Fulfill the dream of a good society by gaining knowledge: Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar advices students

Mysuru, Mar. 20, 2021: “During earlier days though many people had a desire to study there was a lack of knowledge. But the situation today has changed due to the advent of science and technology. There are several sources of gaining knowledge. You just should have the interest to learn. You should make good utilization of your learning and research activities. Fulfillment of living in a good society is possible only from knowledge,” opined Prof.G. Heamnth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.

He inaugurated a program titled, ‘Abhivinyasa,’ organized at the JSS College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Ooty Road, Mysuru, for the benefit of new PG students of the College. In his address, he said, “Today education has become very essential for everyone. Due to the contribution of several Maths, everyone is getting an opportunity to pursue education. This college has 14 PG departments and has given stress to teaching and research activities like the University of Mysore. Today skill-based education has become very essential for the employment sector. Hence, try to get skill-based education,” he advised the students.

Presiding over the program, Prof. S.P. Manjunath, Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha said, “Paramapujya Rajendra Swamiji knew the problems of the educational sector and intended to solve the problem. He especially wanted to prevent students in the rural areas from getting deprived of education and hence provided education and boarding facilities to them. You should all follow in his path. Today we are all in the competitive world. JSS Mahavidyapeetha has opened training centers according to the need. Utilize it properly and get a good job,” he advised.

In his introductory speech, Prof. B.V.Sambashivaiah, Chief Executive of the College explained, “Our college has gained respect and status. It has secured NAAC ‘A’ certification. The ‘JSS Radio 91.2 MHz Community radio will start functioning on the College campus soon. There is a wide range of research subjects for you to pursue. The College provides you all the facilities you need to pursue research. The College also is providing skill-based education required for today’s employment sector. Students should utilize it and fulfill the dreams of their parents and the society,” he added.

Mahashivarathri celebrations held in Suttur

Suttur, Mar. 11, 2021: Special poojas and other programs were conducted at the the Suttur Srikshetra on the occasion of Mahashivarathri festival, in the divine presence of Parampujya Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji.

Special poojas were held at the shrine of Adijagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi Mahaswamiji, and Rudrabhisheka, Ashtottara and other poojas were held at the temples of Sri Mahadeshwara, Sri Someshwara, Sri Veerabhadreshwara and Sri Narayanaswamy.

While the students of the JSS Residential School, Suttur, presented cultural devotional programs, the Raghuleela Sangeetha Mandira artists presented a music and dance ballet titled ‘Bhakti Sankeertana’. The Music teachers of the Residential School presented a vachana recital program, followed by ‘Jeevanotsaha’ program by Smt. Indumati Salimath and team of Kalaburagi. Sri Gurutshantappa and team of Suttur presented a devotional songs program, whereas the Banahalli, Bhogayyanahundi, Hosahalli, Chunchanahalli and Horalawadi Bhajana team presented a ‘Akhanda Bhajan’ program.

Shivadeeksha was give for 80 disciples. Hundreds of devotees from Suttur and surrounding villages took part in the programs including the silver chariot.

International Women’s Day at ICAR JSS KVK, Suttur

Suttur, March 08, 2021: The ICAR JSS Krishi Vignan Kendra, Suttur, in association with the Srikshetra Dharmastala Rural Development B.C. Trust (Regd.), Nanjangud had organised a program at ICAR JSS KVK in Suttur on March 8, 2021, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
International Women’s Day is celebrated across the world on March 8 every year to uphold women’s rights, identifying and felicitating women achievers, identifying social, economical, cultural, and political achievements of women. The United Nations has declared the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day, as “Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 World.”
Smt. Vishala Akki, Principal, Human Resource Training Centre, Srikshetra Dharmastala Rural Development Program, Mysuru Division, inaugurated the program. In her address, she said, “Every woman has the strength, women are equal to men, they have carved out a nice for themselves even from the Vedic times. Akkamahadevi had drawn the attraction of the entire world through her vachanas in the 12th Century. Today women have achieved in almost every sector including science, sports, space travel, etc. Rural women should come out of their houses and engage themselves in Women Self Help Group activities and try to understand new things and improve self-confidence. Along with household work, women have engaged in agriculture or any other work and hence their role in a family is immense,” she said and advised them to walk in the path of success.
In her presidential address Smt. N. Jamuna Ursh, Home Scientist (Retd.), ICAR JSS KVK mentioned that women can achieve anything by developing courage. “If women inculcate income-generating activities the economical condition of the family will improve. Everyone should respect women who play an important role in managing family,” She added.
Women entrepreneur Smt. Dhanalakshmi was felicitated in the program. Speaking after receiving the felicitation Smt. Dhanalakshmi shared her experience of production of food products. Smt. Anju, Self Help Group woman shared her experiences.
A total number of 59 people, including Dharmastala Self Help Group members, final year students of B.Sc. (Agriculture) of V.C. Farm, Mandya, and staff members of JSS Krishi Vignan Kendra took part in the program. Smt. Divya H. V., Seed Technology Division Scientist, JSS KVK, Suttur welcomed the gathering. Sri Rajanna J.G, Program Assistant (Soil Science) gave a vote of thanks and Smt. Netravathi Yettinamani, Home Scientist, JSS KVK compered.
A live telecast of the ‘Women Leadership in Agriculture’ program organised by the Krishi Anusandhana Parishat, New Delhi, on the occasion of International Women’s Day was arranged.
