Successful Completion of the 3rd Indian Congress 2020 for Physically Challenged Candidates at JSS Institute for Differently Abled

Mysuru, February 28, 2020: The JSS Institute for Differently Abled, in collaboration with the Indian Congress 2020, successfully organized the 3rd Indian Congress 2020 for physically challenged candidates from February 21 to 23, 2020. The event, held at the institution premises, aimed to create awareness about the needs, contributions, and talents of physically challenged individuals, as well as their role in society. The program witnessed the participation of around 100 candidates from various locations.

The inauguration of the event took place on February 21, 2020, with Sri R.A. Rafeeq, Director of RDI Institute, Ananthapuram, Andhra Pradesh, serving as the chief guest. Sri Rafeeq acknowledged the significance of the program and commended the JSS Institute for providing necessary facilities to students from their institution who were pursuing education in Mysuru.

Sri Thomas Crows, Initiator of the Worldwide Congress for Persons with Disabilities, Berlin, Germany, and Dr. Kumar G.S., Chief Executive Officer of Sri Vivekananda Youth Movement, Mysuru, were present as the esteemed chief guests. They expressed their admiration for the JSS Polytechnic for Physically Challenged and commended the objectives of the Indian Congress. Dr. Kumar G.S. appreciated the well-organized nature of the program and praised the informative initiatives undertaken by the institute.

Dr. C. Ranganathaiah, Director (Educational & Administration) of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, presided over the event and emphasized the institution’s commitment to providing education and employment opportunities to physically challenged candidates. Sri B. Elangovan, Principal of JSS Institute for Differently Abled, encouraged the participants to seize opportunities and approach life with a positive attitude. He expressed gratitude to Paramapujya Swamiji for his guidance and support, and acknowledged the contributions of various individuals, administrative board members, and donors.

Over the course of the three-day program, several activities were conducted, including Nandavanam, social artist events, workshops on married lives of physically challenged couples, swimming, life-protecting skills, and a visit to the Sri Jayachamarajendra Zoological Garden. The program also featured a fashion show, an “Inclusive Run” event, and an Inclusive Art competition. The valedictory program held on February 23, 2020, included a speech by Smt. Mamatha D.J., District Physically Challenged Welfare Officer, Mysuru District, who praised the organizers for their exceptional efforts and encouraged the participants to recognize their own capabilities.

Sri Rabeendran Isaac, Author of Include Foundation, Coimbatore, presented a comprehensive report on the programs conducted during the three-day event. Sri B. Elangovan, in his address, highlighted the informative and motivational aspects of the program and expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to its success.

Certificates were distributed to all the candidates who participated in the program, marking the conclusion of the 3rd Indian Congress 2020 for Physically Challenged Candidates.
