Retired DGP Sri Revanasiddaiah Praises the Immense Service of Sri Rajendra Mahaswamiji to Society

Mysuru, September 22, 2019: Sri L. Revanasiddaiah, a retired DGP and Chairman of the Gubbi Thotadappa Organisation, expressed his admiration for the tremendous service rendered by His Holiness Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji to society. He shared his sentiments during the inauguration of the 104th Birth celebrations of Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, the 23rd Pontiff of Suttur Math. The event, organized by the Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Seva Trust, took place at the Gubbi Thotadappa Dharma Samsthe Student Hostel in Sardar Vallabhbhaipatel Nagar, Mysuru.

Sri Revanasiddaiah highlighted Swamiji’s extraordinary contributions, particularly the establishment of free student hostels and the provision of food for students from rural areas. He expressed his gratitude, stating that he himself was a beneficiary of the Swamiji’s generosity. Sri Revanasiddaiah emphasized the significant impact that the HH Swamiji’s initiatives had on countless students, becoming a beacon of hope for their education and future.

Dr. M. Mahadevappa, an esteemed Agriculture Scientist and recipient of the Padmabhushan award graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He encouraged students to seize the numerous opportunities offered by today’s advanced education system. Dr. Mahadevappa urged the students to value and preserve the country’s culture and traditions while utilizing science for the betterment of society, becoming exemplary citizens of the nation.

Presiding over the event, Prof. Puttabuddhi, President of the organization, reminisced about the scarcity of food during earlier times and commended the Paramapujya Swamiji for triumphing over all obstacles and providing free meals to hostel students. He bestowed his blessings upon the attendees, wishing them success and prosperity.

Prof. Nanjundappa, Vice President of JSS Senior Students’ Association, was also present on the dais, lending his support to the event. The program commenced with an invocation by student Sachin. Sri Akshay Mallappa, Trustee of the Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Seva Trust, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Sri Duggahatti Mallikarjunswamy expertly compered the proceedings. Notable attendees included other Trustees Sri Prabhudeva and Sri Srikantaswamy, Hostel Warden Sri Anandamurthy, parents of the hostel inmates, and students.

S A Ramdas MLA Urges Students to Choose the Right Role Model and Excel in Life

Mysuru, September 21, 2019: The 104th Jayanthi of His Holiness Sri Rajendra Mahaswamiji was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the JSS College of Commerce, Arts and Science, B.N. Road, Mysuru on September 21, 2019.

Sri S.A. Ramdas, MLA, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for being an alumnus of the college and emphasized the significance of having the right role model in life. Drawing inspiration from great scientists, he highlighted the transformative power of determination exemplified by Paramapujya Jagadguru Sri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, stating that such influential personalities can enlighten the lives of students.

The occasion also witnessed the inauguration of the students’ Cultural and Sports Forum by Prof. S.R. Niranjana, former Vice-Chancellor of Gulbarga University and Chairperson of the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Mysore. Prof. Niranjana emphasized the importance of basic infrastructure in educational institutions and expressed concern over the potential hindrance to true education due to excessive modernization. He encouraged students to leverage digitalization in education, considering the computer as an invaluable teacher with the guidance of teacher-facilitators. Prof. Niranjana urged students to embrace diversified education and march hand-in-hand with their teachers to fulfill the aspirations of the revered Swamiji in providing holistic education.

Dr. K. Anantharamu, a retired Professor of Kannada from Maharaja’s College, Mysuru, enlightened the students on the significance of moral values. He emphasized that marks are not as crucial as the remarks that shape one’s character. Education without moral values, he stated, is meaningless. Dr. Anantharamu praised HH Sri Rajendra Mahaswamiji as a true visionary and educationist, crediting him for bringing the benefits of education to the world from his roots in Suttur.

The event also featured the distribution of prizes to meritorious students.

The program began with the dignitaries offering floral tributes to the portrait of His Holiness Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji. Prof. B.V. Sambashivaiah, Chief Executive of the College, delivered an introductory speech highlighting the significance of the occasion. Prof. M. Mahadevappa, Principal of the College, administered the oath to the students and faculty. The distinguished presence of Prof. D.S. Sadashivamurthy, Dr. Vijayamanjunath Guru, and Sri M. Karthik added to the event’s grandeur.

Kum. Sannidhi K N of II B.Sc. commenced the program with a soulful invocation. Kum. Lakshmi M of III B.Sc. warmly welcomed the gathering, while Kum. Ayusha Samrin proposed a vote of thanks. Kum. Subashini, III BCA, expertly compered the program.

JSS Women’s College students selected for District-level Throw-Ball competition

The students of the JSS Women’s College, Kollegal, have secured first place in the Taluk-level Throw Ball Competitions held on dt: 18.092019, as part of the Dasara Sports Meet and have gained eligibility to participate in the District-level competition. The Scouts and Guide students of the JSS School, Suttur, have been selected for state-level competitions. While the Guides have been selected for state-level singing competitions the Scouts have secured second place, in the District-level competition. BRIEF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER:
