About Us

This school was established in the year 1964, to cater to the needs of the working women who had to juggle between work and child care. His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Swamiji, established this crèche to provide support to the working women. The school completed fifty years of its establishment in the year 2014.

The school offers Nursery programme for children in the age group of 2 ½ to 4 years.
Admission: Applications issued after 10th April every year.

The crèche has a well-equipped building. The rooms are spacious, well-ventilated, with adequate natural lighting. The school has a nice play area with all indoor and outdoor play materials such as slide, see-saw, swing, jungle jin, merry go round, etc. Basic facilities such as clean drinking water and toilets are available.

Children are made to learn through creative activities such as clay modeling, block building, stories, songs and group activities using a variety of materials.
The school observes all national festivals. Children are encouraged to participate in cultural activities.

Conclusion of Month-long Discourse on ‘Veerashaivamurtha Purana’ in Suttur

Suttur, Sept. 9, 2018:  The month-long discourse on ‘Veerashaivamurtha Purana,’ authored by Gubbi Mallannaarya, successfully concluded on September 8, 2018, at the Srimath in Suttur.

In the valedictory address, Sri G.S. Somashekar, Mysuru District Backward Castes Welfare Department, District Officer, highlighted the significance of the Shraavana month according to the Hindu calendar. He emphasized the belief that attending discourses or talks on gods during this month brings about positive changes and cultivates good citizenship within society. Sri Somashekar emphasized the scientific foundation of ancient Indian religion and the meaningfulness and benefits associated with each ritual. Remembering God helps dispel negative thoughts and contributes to individual growth and societal well-being.

The chief guest, Sri K. Shivalingegowda, Managing Director of Mysuru District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Societies Federation Corporation, emphasized the transformative nature of discourses and their role in shaping individuals’ personalities. He expressed his appreciation for the religious programs conducted by the Srimath and their ability to guide individuals in the right direction and nurture a positive cultural outlook.

Presiding over the program, Sri C.S. Gurumallappa, Chairman of Chamarajanagara District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Societies Federation Corporation, highlighted the significance of the Shraavana month as the beginning of festivals and auspicious beginnings. He emphasized that any work commenced during this month is believed to be successful.

During the program, Sri Shivaswamy of the Srimath distributed prizes, while Prof. H.B. Devanna and Dr. C.G. Ushadevi delivered insightful discourses. Smt. Shyla Siddaramappa and Sri D.M. Siddalingaswamy recited vachanas, showcasing the rich literary and poetic tradition of the region.

The invocation was performed by students of JSS School, and the program was graced by Sri Adarsha. Sri Nanjundawamy delivered a vote of thanks, and Sri Shadakshari skillfully compered the event.

Teachers Day Celebrations at JSS School, Suttur

Suttur, Sept. 8, 2018:  On the occasion of Teachers Day, a program was organized at JSS Educational Institution in Suttur to honor and appreciate the dedicated efforts of teachers. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed guests and highlighted the significance of teachers in shaping society.

Addressing the gathering, Sri R. Raghunandan, Senior Programme Officer of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, emphasized the noble service provided by teachers, stating that their role extends beyond mere work. He emphasized the importance of idealistic teachers and the respect they garner from society. Sri Raghunandan also stressed that societies that fail to understand the significance of teachers will suffer degeneration. He highlighted the role of teachers in building a strong foundation for society and acknowledged the Indian tradition of considering home as the first school and mother as the first teacher.

The chief guest, Sri K. Mahadevappa, Principal of DIET and Director of the Development Division in Mysuru, compared teachers to candles, stating that they selflessly melt to provide light to others. He emphasized that learning is a lifelong process and encouraged teachers to continuously update their knowledge to guide their students effectively. Quoting Alexander, he highlighted the instrumental role of teachers in nurturing personal growth and expressed the importance of teachers’ dedication in helping students achieve their goals.

Sri C. S. Shivaswamy, Principal of JSS DEd College, emphasized the increased responsibilities of teachers in contemporary society. He noted that society holds high expectations of teachers and respects their contributions, underscoring the vital role they play in shaping the future.

The event saw the presence of institution heads, including Sri G.L. Tripurantaka, Sri Veerabhadraiah, Dr. M. C. Nataraj, Sri G. Shivamallu, Smt. C.P. Nirmala, Sri B.M. Siddappa, and Sri G.M. Shadakshari, who added their support and encouragement to the teachers.

The program began with an invocation by students of the school, followed by welcoming remarks from Sri N. Akshay. Kum. B. Anitha delivered the vote of thanks, and Kum. N. G. Shruti skillfully compered the event.

The Vice – President of India, Hon’ble Sri M. Venkaiah Naidu inaugurating the 103rd Jayanthi Mahotsav of Paramapujya Jagadaguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, and Sri Channaveera Deshikendra Gurukula Building, held at Suttur. JSS MVP contributes Rs. 50 lakh for Kodagu flood victims

Mysuru, August 29, 2018: The Suttur Veerasimhasana Math, in association with the JSS Mahavidyapeetha contributed a sum of Rs. 50 lakh towards the Kodagu Relief Fund, through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

The present pontiff of Suttur Math Paramapujya Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji handed over the cheque of Rs. 50 lakh to the Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy, through the Vice President of India, Sri M. Venkaiah Naidu, at the 103rd Jayanthi Mahotsav function of Paramapujya Jagadguru Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, held at Suttur.

The contribution includes one day’s salary of the employees of the Sri Suttur Math, JSS MVP, and all the JSS Institutions.

Paramapujya Sri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji also announced of contributing Rs. 10 lakh for the people who are affected by floods in Kerala, within one or two days.
